This is personal.
This is my story.

Dear Friends,

I'm not leading this project from a distance — I'm leading it from the middle of my own recovery. As a recent prostate cancer survivor, I know exactly what fear feels like, and I know how faith can carry you through the darkest moments. That experience shaped me, refined me, and ignited a purpose I can no longer ignore.

For the past two decades, I've built a career around leadership, community building, and inspiring people into action — from global brands to high-growth work across the cycling and outdoor world. My life's work has always centered on people, purpose, and elevating others.

Now, all of that experience comes together at exactly the right moment. I understand how to mobilize communities. I understand how to tell stories that move people. I understand how to build partnerships that last — and I understand what it means to fight for your life, and win.

This mission isn't a project for me. It's the next chapter of my survival story. It's a commitment to help other men find cancer earlier, fight it stronger, and never walk alone.

Arrival — Showing Up

Every survival story starts the same way: someone decides to show up. Landing in Tanzania and walking into that first briefing is the same act of courage as booking the screening you've been putting off.

Diagnosis — Facing Fear

The first steps are taken without ever seeing the summit. It's the shock of “we found something” — and choosing to keep walking anyway.

Surrender — Trusting the Process

Climb high, sleep low. You go up in order to come back down, because the protocol knows something your body doesn't yet. Healing asks for exactly that kind of surrender.

Faith Over Fear is proud to announce Follow Alice as the official expedition partner for our Kilimanjaro climb. They'll get us up the mountain. We'll get the message out.

A mission like this only works if the climb itself is in the hands of people who know the mountain far better than we ever will. So we went looking for an operator whose story already sounded like ours.

Follow Alice was born on Kilimanjaro. In 2014, co-founder Reto climbed the mountain with a lead guide named Chris Sichalwe — a man who started out carrying loads as a porter in 1999 and worked his way up to chief guide, with a dream of running his own operation. They built the company together. Today Chris has stood on that summit more than 300 times.

That's the kind of partner you want on a climb that carries a message. Licensed in Tanzania, small groups, local guides, and a safety-first approach to acclimatisation — because on this mountain, reaching the summit is what makes the story worth telling.

They also do it the right way. On a Follow Alice trip, more than 70% of the trip price stays inside the local economy. So before a single dollar reaches prostate cancer research, this climb is already putting something back into the communities that make it possible.
